Outreach activities

An Expert Workshop on the Roadmap for Sustainable Large-Scale Energy Storage in Egypt was held on 15 December 2025 at the American University in Cairo. The workshop aimed to (i) Promote the project and disseminate its goals, methodology, and expected outcomes to key stakeholders, (ii) Engage experts and decision-makers in drafting policy guidelines and a roadmap for the integration of large-scale energy storage systems in Egypt, and (iii) Strengthen partnerships, facilitate dialogue, and support capacity building for future implementation and large-scale deployment of energy storage technologies. Distinguished speakers from academic institutions and industrial organizations in Egypt and Denmark were invited to deliver presentations in person or online. The workshop was attended by a total of 32 participants in person and 2 participants online.

A workshop on Resilient Technologies for Renewable Energy was held on 4th May 2025 at the American University in Cairo. The event focused on recent advancements in renewable energy, with discussions covering key topics such as the structural resilience of onshore and offshore wind turbines, the integration of wind and solar energy, energy storage solutions, and smart grid technologies. Distinguished speakers from academic institutions and industrial organizations in Canada, China, Egypt, and Saudi Arabia were invited to deliver presentations in person or online. The workshop was attended by a total of 44 participants in person and 6 participants online.

Presentation for a Nigerian delegation in connection with an Energy Diplomacy Exchange arranged through the European Commission (Directorate-General Energy) at DTU, 26th June 2024. A presentation about the project was given to the delegation.

Presentation at the ‘(More) Women in Research’ conference on March 5-8, 2024, at the MS-TCDC Training Center, Arusha, Tanzania. An overview of the project and the progress of the work at AUC were presented.
